Urgency & honesty

Peak dry season (roughly May–October) and school holidays fill Airlie Beach and popular day tours fast. If Whitehaven is non-negotiable, book beds and boats early — and keep a weather buffer day.

Cannonvale and near Shute Harbour extend the bed pool for quieter streets or early vessel departures — still confirm transfer times with your operator. Use Airlie as the default planning hub unless you already know Hamilton Island logistics.
